I have made contact with potential voices and I have more of a mapped out plan for the project now. I make my way down High Street, with a few visits to side streets and places linked to High Street, in my search for people who make this city great.
First stop is Lauren Kent, who lives just off High Street down Thompson Street. Lauren is the creator and founder of Simply Bee bakery. In her tiny kitchen Lauren conjures up the most amazing breads with her divine array of recipes. She loves to bake to take time out from her honours degree in Anthropology, and she advertises her products on Facebook and through the grapevine. Lauren also works at the Mustard Seed, a local health shop, and she tries to lead a balanced and healthy lifestyle. (confirmed)
Then all the way down High Street into Bathurst, so ultimately my last stop, will be the hospice shop, which is about to close if it doesn't get any donations soon. I'll speak to the woman who works there about her job, why she likes it, what she does in her spare time, stuff like that.
The rest is as I put in the previous post:
Freelance actors
Ubom
Councilmen
Afrikaans intellectuals: Mr Tim Huisamen
Afrikaans students: Chante Daries (confirmed)
Earring man
Bottle store workers
People in coffee shops (Red Cafe and Mad Hatters)
