So this week (20-24 September) I have two (possibly three) scheduled interviews.
On Tuesday at 9am we meet Jayne Morgan in the radio labs for our Adobe editing session. (Get lots of sleep and eat fresh fruit beforehand)
Tuesday 2pm: print out revised set of questions and mission down to the hospice shop to meet Petra Pretorius in person. I've sent her an email, but she hasn't responded, so I'm going down there tomorrow after lunch.
On the way back from Petra I'll stop by the earring dude, the bottle store, Red Cafe and the Cheeky girl with a parrot on her shoulder.
Tuesday 3pm I'm meeting Sarah Rhode from Ubom in the drama department for our interview.
Wednesday: Print out questions
Meeting Jock McConnachie at 1pm at Equity House Chambers in the Old Post Office Building (directly opposite present post office in High Street. Jock used to be local DA Chair, but has resigned and is launching a campaign to de-politicise local council. Riveting stuff.
Thursday: Might meet Andile Nayika, citizen journalist at 2pm. (Think of questions still)
3030pm: Meet Lauren Kent at her house in Thompson street (just off High Street)
Wednesday morning at 10 I'm meeting Sunali Pillay at her house.
*get camera from Dees
*Fresh batteries check:)
Thursday
I keep on forgetting to take bloody pictures!! So far I have interviewed: Chante Daries, Sarah Roberson, Sunali Pillay, Jock McConnachie, Tim Huisamen, Andile Niyaka and I'm off in an hour to interview Lauren Kent. So by the end of this week I'll have seven interviews done and three to go, and then the editing must happen.
So I suppose I should go back to Sarah, Jock, Tim and Andile to ask if I can take photos. Why am I so forgetful? Aaaarg!
SO this coming week I need to find three more interesting people to speak to, and then I need to start editing. My process involves first getting all the audio and then editing, because they're two different mind frames that I need to occupy.
